Hey, we're getting a new Renny Harlin movie!
For some reason, Hollywood just assumes that Jackie Chan has to work with someone in his films. We've already seen him hanging out with Chris Tucker and Owen Wilson. Now it's time to see him having fun with Johnny Knoxville:
While Skip trace seems like the kind of movie that would have been more suitable a decade ago, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun. In fact, the trailer is kind of a silly blast. It's all very familiar, but who doesn't want to watch Jackie Chan argue with Johnny Knoxville for two hours? The only way this could be improved would be if Knoxville was in his Bad grandpa Character. Maybe in the sequel.
At the very least, I'm excited for a nonsensical, over-the-top Renny Harlin movie to come along. I'm only human. Skip trace will be released on September 2nd.
