Japan is making an attempt to repair a custody system that has come beneath fireplace from all sides

Yasuo Hojyo was home alone when his wife and 5-year-old son appeared in the door. He said the boy seemed concerned.

“My son looked at my wife anxiously. He looked confused,” Hojyo said.

When he came back from work a few days later, they were gone. Inside was a letter from a lawyer stating that his wife had filed for divorce.
