Just a day after Lisa Bonet filed for divorce from Jason Momoa, the former couple agreed to a custody agreement for their two children — and the quick settlement decision is a major indicator of the state of their co-parenting relationship.

Although the two actors announced their separation in January 2022, Bonet's divorce filing lists October 7, 2020 as the official separation date – exactly three years from the date of their wedding and over a decade after they began dating in 2005.

Their divorce agreement states that Bonet, 56, and Momoa, 44, have joint custody of their 16-year-old daughter Lola and 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf. Additionally, “The Cosby Show” alum and “Aquaman” star will equally share their children's living expenses and responsibilities related to health, education and general well-being.

An exception was noted for living expenses, particularly related to travel, according to court documents obtained by People. If either Bonet or Momoa goes on a trip with one or both teenagers, “that party will be responsible for the children's expenses for such trips.” The former couple waived a child support agreement and mutually decided not to pursue spousal support.

In their joint statement two years ago, Bonet and Momoa wrote: “We have all felt the pressures and changes of these changing times… A revolution is underway and our family is no exception… we feel the seismic changes that are occurring, and grow from it.” And so we break the news to our family that we are parting ways.”

The announcement continued: “We share this not because we think it is newsworthy, but so that we can do it in our lives with dignity and honesty.” The love between us continues and develops in a way and Way she wants to be known and lived. We liberate each other to be what we learn to become… Our unwavering commitment to this sacred life of our children. We show our children what is possible. Living the prayer. May love prevail✨ J & L.”

In addition to Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, Bonet is also mother to Zoë Kravitz, whom she shares with her first husband, Lenny Kravitz. The former Game of Thrones star and the Batman star are known for their close relationship, which has been going strong since Bonet and Momoa's romantic relationship ended. In fact, Momoa walked the red carpet with his kids at the premiere of The Batman in March 2022 so they could support their big sister.

During a brief chat with Entertainment Tonight, the Dune actor said: “We're just so proud. Lisa couldn't be here, so we're filling in for me and the babies. We're really happy just to be here.” Momoa added touchingly, “It's still a family, you know?”

We seriously admire the way the two have “consciously uncoupled” – they seem to have followed Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's plan.
