Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee settle custody petition

Jesse Williams and his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee have reportedly settled a custody battle over their two children, 8-year-old Sadie and 6-year-old Mateo.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the 40-year-old Grey’s Anatomy graduate can take part in a Broadway play in New York without a reduced sentence, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Tuesday.

Drake-Lee, 40, had reportedly previously argued that because Williams would be spending a lot of time in New York, his custody time with his children should be revised.

The parents retain joint custody, according to the documents.

Williams, who left Grey’s Anatomy after 12 seasons in May 2021, has been cast as one of the stars in the revival of Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out, slated to premiere in the spring.

The actor previously said in a press release about his participation in the revival of the Tony Award-winning play, “I’m incredibly honored to have the opportunity to expand on such a profound narrative.”

The judge granted Williams four consecutive days with his kids — and two of those days could be weekend days — while he works in the Big Apple, according to TMZ. However, he cannot cancel a date and then “cancel”.

The custody agreement is set to be revised again after Williams completes the game.

The judge also reportedly gave the The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 star the power to have “undecided authority” over his real estate agent ex over what COVID-19 protocol his children will follow, such as: . B. Vaccines and face masks.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Williams and Drake-Lee were also advised to enlist the help of an outside consultant.

“Both parties are seeking a great deal of fine-tuning of their custody and visitation orders, many of which a court is not as well equipped to handle as the parents themselves through an outside coordinator or counselor,” the judge told court filings. “If the parties cannot agree, they can of course go back to court.”

In April 2021, the ex-boyfriends were also ordered to attend “conflictual” parenting courses because they apparently couldn’t agree on anything.

Williams and Drake-Lee split in 2017, but their controversial divorce was not finalized until October 2020.

The former couple first met around 2007 when Williams was a high school teacher in New York City and tied the knot in 2012.

A representative for Williams did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
