Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have agreed to keep their children in New York for the time being.

The 27-year-old actress sued her estranged husband last week, claiming he prevented her from bringing Willa, 3, and her 14-month-old sister – whose name was never publicly revealed – back to the UK, prompting the Jonas Brothers- Singer hits back, insisting he was simply complying with a Florida court order.

And now documents obtained by Daily Mail show that Jonas and Turner have agreed to a tentative consent agreement and filed it with a federal judge, meaning the girls will remain in the southern or eastern districts of New York – an area that includes New York City, the Hudson, includes the Valley and Long Island – for now.

The filing states that the former couple “has consented to the entry of the attached proposed interim consent order, without prejudice to the claims and defenses of either party, prohibiting the removal of the parties’ children from the jurisdictions…until further order of this court.” .” ”

The “Game of Thrones” actress’ lawyer, Stephen Cullen, said the order was issued to “protect the welfare of the (children) involved” and also “to prevent the (children) from being further removed or concealed from the public.” to prevent a final decision on the petition”.

A draft of the order must now be signed by Judge Katherine Polk Failla, who is overseeing the case.

The Sucker singer denied Turner’s claims in a statement last week.

His representative said in part: “Sophie advised that she wanted to bring the children to the UK permanently. She then used this file to demand that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida court order.”

Jonas “aims for the children to be raised together so that they are raised by both their mother and their father, and of course also agrees that the children are raised in both the US and the UK.”

The musician also denied allegations that he had “kidnapped” his own children.

The statement added: “This is an unfortunate legal disagreement over a marriage that sadly ends.” Using phrases like “kidnapping” is at best misleading and at worst a serious abuse of the legal system. The children were not kidnapped.”
