Knoxville is best known for creating and starring 3 seasons of the MTV reality show: Jackass, which aired from 2000 to 2002. He has also appeared in other films such as Men in Black II, A Dirty Shame, and The Dukes of Hazzard. played in cameo roles in Last Stand and Skiptrace. Johnny Knoxville was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Philip, a tire and auto salesman, and Lemoyne Clapp, who taught Sunday School. He has two older siblings, both sisters. His interest in acting grew when his cousin Roger Alan Wade, now a singer-songwriter, presented him with a copy of On the Road by Jack Kerouac. Johnny Knoxville: Career

Knoxville began his acting career as an extra and through appearances in commercials. He waited for the “big” break to come to him, but when he didn’t, he started trying to create one for himself. Knoxville made a video testing self-defense equipment on himself, which caught the interest of Big Brother magazine. His stunts were then filmed and included in Big Brother magazine’s Number Two video.

He is best known for his role in Jay Chandrasekhar’s The Dukes of Hazzard, where he starred alongside Seann William Scott. He starred in all of the films in the Jackass franchise: Jackass: The Movie; Jackass Number Two and Jackass 3D. In Men in Black II he played the role of a two-headed alien. He went as a supporting character in the movie Walking Tall, which also starred The Rock. Johnny also starred in the films Daltry Coulhaun, The Ringer and Lords of Dogtown.

He starred in the third season of Viva La Bam entitled Prank Wars. In this episode, he and Ryan Dunn made a prank on Bam Margera by destroying his lobster, among other things. He also appeared in Family Guy and co-produced the Dudesons. In 2010 he made the three-part series titled Detroit Lives, which he made for Palladium Boots. Johnny Knoxville: Personal Life

He has a daughter Madison (born 1996) from his first marriage to Melanie Lynn Cates, which ended in 2008. In 2009, his girlfriend Naomi Nelson gave birth to a healthy boy. Naomi and Johnny married on September 24, 2010 and gave birth to a daughter in October 2011.
