Lady arrested for attacking her fiancé with a brush after suspecting infidelity

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX / KJTL) – Police said a woman from Wichita Falls believed her fiancé spoke to another woman on the phone, attacked him with her fist, a broom and a fireplace poker, and then broke the rear window of his truck loaded with firewood.

Lindsey Ann Lafferty, 39, is charged with family assault and criminal mischief above $ 750 and below $ 1500.

Lafferty is currently being held in Wichita County Jail on $ 2,000 in bonds.

According to the authorities, the officers responded to a call for disturbance just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of North Beverly Drive.

The victim told a police officer he was outside talking to his brother on the phone when his fiancée Lafferty came outside and accused him of fraud.

Police said the victim told them Lafferty then punched him in the face with a closed fist and stunned him for a moment.

The victim informed authorities that Lafferty then went back inside and came back with a broom, which she hit the victim four times with, then went back inside and came back with a fire iron and hit the victim twice in the back with it.

The victim told police he then ran and got into his pickup truck when Lafferty grabbed a piece of firewood and threw it through his rear windshield, completely shattering it.

Police said Lafferty first denied attacking the victim, then said she just didn’t want to bring it up, and then admitted that she attacked him because she saw him outside on his phone with another woman.
