Local school district gets new buses and GPS tracking

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Troy City Schools is modernizing its bus fleet.

The district is buying three new buses and installing GPS tracking systems across the fleet.

The GPS tracking systems provide live tracking of each bus, allowing parents to see where their child’s bus is and giving drivers step-by-step instructions on each student’s pickup and drop-off location.

Taco John’s opens location in Kettering

This was approved by the Troy City Schools Board of Education at their August 8 meeting, using nearly $900,000 in government funds.
