Man shoots, kills girl as she tries to serve him custody papers, police say

TULSA, Oklahoma (Gray News) – A man shot and killed a woman in Tulsa as she tried to serve him custody papers, according to police.

The Tulsa Police Department said it has issued an arrest warrant for Charles Maurice Colbert, who also carries Charles Tucker. He was charged with first degree murder but is still on the run.

According to the police, the officers were called to a house on Saturday afternoon for a homicide.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the victim, 38-year-old Ashley Sneed, had an argument with Colbert, the father of her 1-year-old child. When she tried to serve him custody papers, Colbert got very angry and shot Sneed dead, police said. Colbert then fled the scene.

Anyone who sees Colbert or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
