Meifeng's husband demands maintenance
25th March – It was reported that Taiwanese actress Chen Meifeng’s estranged husband has gone to America to file for divorce.
As Groove Asia reported, Chen's husband David, whom she had been married to for nine years, had traveled to the United States without her knowledge to file for divorce and demanded alimony of NTD 2.8 million per month.
Chen recently discovered that NTD 1 million had been withdrawn from her bank account while her property in New York was confiscated.
Sources revealed: “David secretly filed for divorce in America last year without reaching an agreement with Meifeng. Among the conditions is that Meifeng must pay him NTD 2.8 million per month, otherwise he will be awarded her property in New York.”
The source claimed that David had asked for a divorce several times, but the actress refused to believe that the relationship was over. However, in light of new reports about his shocking behavior, Chen stated that she had given up any hope of a reconciliation. The actress has traveled to the United States to settle the divorce.
