The Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma ministers have been warned against infidelity.

The church says it does not support clergy being separated from their wives, who are mostly abroad.

The church is considering sending both pastors and their partner to the mission field in an effort to “not” keep families apart during missions.

While some of them are together, other pastors who are not have been encouraged to notify church officials.

Church general secretary Reverend Semisi Turagavou said this would allow them to make arrangements for families to reunite.

“We don’t have any numbers at the moment. We do not support wives who are abroad. We do not entertain or support that.”

“If your wife is abroad, please come to the President so we can discuss your problems,” he urged ministers.
