The subject of a missing person search in West Vancouver was found deceased by an RCMP dive team, police said.

After a 30-year-old man was reported missing on November 25, West Vancouver police conducted a land and sea search, focusing on the Horseshoe Bay, Whytecliff Park and Copper Cove areas. The rescue at sea was carried out on Friday afternoon.
“Although a full determination is pending, West Vancouver Police do not believe criminality was involved in the man’s death. The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is also investigating,” WVPD said in a statement.
“West Vancouver Police extend their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and thank everyone involved in the search,” the department said.
