Sergey Shirokiy was found this morning in Beaverton after someone called about a man hiding in some bushes. He was reported to be physically fine, but was taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluation. The Portland Police Bureau is grateful to the Beaverton Police Department for their assistance and to the community for keeping an eye out for Sergey.

The Missing Persons Office was alerted to a photo of Sergey Shirokiy taken at a bank on July 9, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. In this photo, he is wearing checkered shorts, a blue shirt, a green jacket, and black tennis shoes. In the photo, he is wearing glasses.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 77-year-old man who is experiencing health issues and may be in the area of Mall 205.
Sergey Shirokiy left home around 11:00 am yesterday, July 9, 2024, to run errands. He did not reach any of his planned destinations and has not been seen since.
Sergey is showing symptoms of early dementia and is occasionally disoriented. He also requires medication for diabetes.
His vehicle was found this morning near Southeast 103rd Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, so he may have been traveling in the area of Mall 205. Efforts to locate Sergey were unsuccessful.
Sergey Shirokiy is a 77-year-old, 5'10″, 195 lbs Caucasian man who was last seen wearing glasses, a cream button-down shirt, and light-colored pants.
