Missing Persons Resume Search on Charles River in Cambridge,

Massachusetts State Police continued their search today for a suspected missing person along the Charles River in Cambridge. The search, which began Saturday evening, resumed after state police deployed their underwater rescue team and air wing after discovering personal items believed to belong to the missing person.

Reports from NBC Boston revealed that the first discovery was made around 6 p.m. Saturday near Memorial Drive, which explains the appearance of an abandoned pair of shoes and some clothing on the sidewalk by the river. After search efforts stretched into the late morning hours and past 10 p.m., activities were temporarily halted.

As day broke, state police again began a careful survey of the area. Since there are no clues yet, the authority has asked the public for relevant information about the case. Anyone with potential intelligence or knowledge of the circumstances is asked to contact State Police directly at 617-727-6780.

In parallel with the reporting, 7NEWS provided a brief update on ongoing search activities, noting that the situation is evolving and the underwater search team and airwing continue to comb the Charles River area. Details are not yet known, giving the community hope that from the icy depths of the winter river and the sky above, a solution and reunification might yet emerge.
