Mithya star Parambrata Chatterjee says individuals are weak to infidelity, opens up about open relationships

Parambrata Chatterjee is one of the biggest stars of the Bengali film industry. Aside from making a name for himself in Bengali cinema, the actor has done outstanding work in Hindi films. He recently starred in the web series Mithya with Huma Qureshi. Although the series was about a professor and her student, Mithya also explored the topic of infidelity. Now, Parambrata Chatterjee shared his thoughts on this in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in.

“People are prone to infidelity”

Parambrata Chatterjee plays Huma Qureshi’s husband in Mithya. Speaking about infidelity, the actor told IndiaToday.in: “People are naturally prone to polygamy and infidelity. But when two people come to terms, it can be like a romantic partnership. It can also be a marriage. When two people enter that there is an unspoken understanding that we will share with one another, with no one else. For many reasons, perhaps when the relationship is not going well, partnership or marriage is not working well, infidelity occurs.

“IT DEPENDS ON THE TWO PEOPLE HOW THEY DEAL WITH INFIDELITY”

The Mithya star spoke about how couples deal with infidelity. “It’s up to the two people whether they accept it as a temporary mistake or think we made a mistake, so we should end our relationship, partnership or marriage,” Parambrata said.

He also shared his thoughts on open relationships. The actor added, “There’s a third option – where people live in open relationships today. Here we are great friends, partners and we are also husband and wife. But then, as for exploring sexuality, hum ek dusre.” pe aisa claim nahi rakhenge. We will only explore sexuality together. We will be open to that. It depends on individuals how they see life.”

Mithya was released on Zee5 on February 18th.
