MP: Man sews his spouse’s personal elements on suspicion of infidelity

A 55-year-old man who suspected his wife of infidelity is said to have sewn her private parts in the Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred on August 24 in the village of Raila below the Mada police station, about 30 km from the district headquarters, said additional superintendent of police (ASP) Anil Sonkar. The defendant, who is a quack, suspected his 52-year-old wife of having an extramarital affair with another man, the official said.

The man sewed his wife’s private parts on suspicion of infidelity, he said, adding that the victim was admitted to the county hospital where she was being treated for her injuries. A case under Sections 323 (voluntary violation), 324 (injury by dangerous weapons or means), 498 (detention with criminal intent) and other relevant provisions of the IPC has been registered with the Bandhora Police Station, he added.
