After stepping down from his role as lead prosecutor in Donald Trump's election interference case in Georgia, Nathan Wade says he is broke and unable to pay his ex-wife's child support, a court filing says.
“With the income out [Wade’s] Employment as a special prosecutor is no longer possible and with income [his] Private practices are shrinking, [he] is no longer able to…meet the financial obligations set forth in the restraining order,” the filing states, as reported by the New York Post. It refers to his separation agreement.
Wade was forced to resign after it was revealed that he had a romantic affair with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Wade now wants to hold a hearing to determine whether the amount he owes in spousal support will be reduced from the previous amount he agreed to pay his ex in a tentative agreement reached in January. Ex-wife Joycelyn Wade accused him last week of refusing to pay child support for their two children. She is also asking for money to cover her rent and medical costs.
“She claimed she had spent all of her money – which she would have used for much-needed surgery – on her son and daughter after Wade abruptly interrupted her and told them, 'Get the money from your mother,' she said it in the newspapers.
“Joycelyn was left with less than $1,000 a month after Wade stopped paying her, and she needs money to pay for her deteriorating health — which also prevents her from working, she claimed,” it said Post report.
Joycelyn even requests that Wade be sent to prison until he meets his financial obligations to her.
Willis was accused of benefiting financially from her relationship with Wade after he allegedly took her on trips and bought her gifts with the money he earned from his salary as a prosecutor.
