Hunter Biden told his uncle James in December 2018 that he had run out of money and needed financial support from his father, according to new text messages revealed in IRS whistleblower documents.
The now first son told James Biden that the millions of dollars he had raised through his business abroad were “all used up” and he could no longer afford school fees for his three daughters or even living expenses.
“I can work if I’m in NYC all day every day for the next three months,” Hunter said in the Dec. 29, 2018, message to his uncle.
“But I can’t pay maintenance without my father having to pay tuition or food and gas. It’s really all gone.”
“I’m sure I can make it up to you in 15/20 days, but he’s basically made it clear he’s not paying child support because mom has made it clear she won’t,” he added .
Hunter also said he would move into his father’s mansion in Delaware after his relationship with his sister-in-law and now-lover Hallie Biden collapsed.
“Hallie won’t [sic] “Do you allow me to be in the house or lend me money or pay me back,” Hunter continued. “Ashley is moving into Momoms [sic] house after I told Dad I was moving in there. …That night I tell Dad that I probably want to stay in the area and [sic] In particular, I wanted to make a living from you and teach my course at Penn and perhaps develop another.”

James Biden told Hunter that he thought the new agreement would be enough with a little more “help” from the former vice president.
“It can work, you need a safe haven. I can work alone with your father!!” he replied. “As always, we just need several months of his help to make this work. Let us talk about it. To me it makes perfect sense. It is difficult to fully verify this without talking.”
The exchange was part of a series of documents released Wednesday by the House Ways and Means Committee that implicate Hunter, 53, in various influence-peddling schemes while he struck business deals with foreign companies.
In a statement accompanying the message, IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler said that James Biden was not interviewed about this exchange because of “an environment created by the assigned prosecutors in which investigators were afraid to ask questions… this would not be ours.” “enable us to conduct normal investigations.” fully understands and conducts the business relationship between James Biden and his family.”
The news complicates a previously reported January 2019 exchange between Hunter and his daughter Naomi, in which the first son claimed he had to give up more than “half” of his salary to his father.
“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for the whole family for 30 years,” he said. “It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike Pop, I won’t force you to give me half of your salary.”
Hunter wrote that he would be moving into his father’s house with his sister-in-law Hallie Biden after his relationship ended. James Biden responded to his nephew that his plans would work with more “help” from Joe Biden.AP
The Post previously reported that Hunter regularly paid for his father’s household expenses, according to longtime business partner Eric Schwerin.
The texts also shed further light on the Biden family’s financial entanglements, which served as the starting point for an impeachment inquiry launched by House Republicans.
In June, the House panel revealed that Hunter had threatened a Chinese business partner in a text message in July 2017 that he would “sit” next to his father and “hold a grudge forever” if their business agreement was not “fulfilled.”
The letter was revealed in documents submitted by two IRS tax investigators who were part of a team that spent five years investigating Hunter Biden for his alleged financial crimes.
Bank records, also obtained by the House Oversight Committee, show that the first family and their partners received more than $20 million from Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan while his father served as vice president in the Obama White House.
Others showed that a corrupt Romanian oligarch paid at least nine members of the Biden family $1 million.
James and Hunter Biden also collected $4.8 million from a Chinese government-linked company CEFC China Energy between 2017 and 2018, according to the display of the first son’s abandoned laptop.

The Oversight Committee released records Tuesday showing additional six-figure transfers were made by Chinese companies that listed Joe Biden’s Delaware address as a beneficiary as his presidential campaign gained momentum in the summer of 2019.
James Biden told Hunter in late 2018 that the two could “evolve.” [sic] a common plan,” before mentioning that his daughter Caroline Biden suffered a similar setback after using a stolen credit card to run up a $110,810.04 bill at a Greenwich Village pharmacy.
“I will try to call you again please Ans,” James Biden wrote.

“Crisis with Caroline, same problem with “P” and NY Post. We’re dealing with it as we speak. She’s fine, I think I have it under control!? I will get back to you as soon as possible.”
The reference points to the Post’s reporting the following month about his daughter, who in 2015 stole a Chase credit card and set up an unauthorized account to go on a spending spree at Bigelow Apothecaries.
In June 2017, Caroline pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Manhattan Supreme Court. Under a probation-only agreement, her charge was downgraded to petty larceny in exchange for 10 days of community service and two years of probation.
She didn’t pay off her credit card bill in full until January 2019.
