NH 57 blocked to protest police in lacking particular person case

Khordha: The people of Pubusahi village in Khordha District protests police inaction over missing persons case. They first surrounded the police station and then began blocking the federal highway as they protested police inaction.

A villager named Basudev Pradhan worked for a scrap dealer in the same village for many years. According to reports, Basudev’s employer accused him of stealing money and resorted to violence against him. Basudev was missing the next day.

According to the police report submitted by Basudev’s wife to the Khordha Adarsh ​​police station, his employer had taken him somewhere. However, the police had not taken any action in this regard. Villagers were upset and began protesting, first near the police station and then at NH 57.

The blocked road has created a communication problem between Khordha and Nayagarh.

The police have reached the site of the protest and are discussing the matter with the protesters.
