Nisha Rawal on divorce with Karan Mehra: “desires sole custody of the son, no upkeep”

In June, Nisha Rawal brought serious charges against husband Karan Mehra, accuses him of domestic abuse and an extramarital affair. For his part, actor Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai said his wife staged the entire incident to get him to cough up a large amount as alimony. While the case is still in court, Nisha stated in a recent interview that she doesn’t want anything from Karan other than sole custody of her son Kavish.

According to Rawal, her lawyers have told Karan that she does not want any alimony. She demanded sole custody of her son and announced that Karan can meet him regularly. However, Nisha announced that Karan did not agree to this.

“I don’t want any maintenance. What will he give me that I haven’t given him? We built everything together. I started earning at a very young age and supported him consistently even before he became a part of Yeh Rishta. I’ve done so much work and whoever I’ve worked with will vouch that Karan was responsible for the commercials, ”she told the Bombay Times.

Nisha Rawal also shared that she is independent and can take care of herself and her child. However, she has reclaimed all of her jewelry and property received during their marriage in order to start a new life.

She told the publication, “He took all of my jewelry and everything I took with me during our marriage. I asked him to return the jewelry he threw away because I need to start my life over. Meri mom ke property ke papers bhi uske paas pade hue hain (he even has my mother’s property papers with him), which he is supposed to return. There is nothing that I ask for myself. I am an independent girl and I will take care of my child and myself. “

The estranged woman continued to call out Karan’s behavior towards her son, saying that he has not been in contact since the little one’s birthday in June. She also said that while he posted photos of gifts he ordered for Kavish, the child never got it: “Let me tell you, he hasn’t called Kavish a single time since his birthday.”

For the inexperienced, Nisha Rawal had filed an FIR against Karan Mehra for abuse and injury, which led to his arrest. He was later given bail.

While Nisha said that Karan often became violent and had an extramarital affair, he pleaded innocent. For his part, the former Bigg Boss candidate said that Nisha hit her head against the wall herself to frame it. He also said that their marriage had faltered in recent years due to the changes in his wife’s personality.
