Officers say lawmakers are trying to find lacking folks within the Tulare County canal

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — Deputies are searching for a missing person in a Tulare County sewer Thursday morning, according to officials with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said earlier today the dive team from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has been asked to assist the Porterville Police Department in locating a missing person.

Porterville police officers received a call from CHP saying they had found the missing person’s car near 182 Avenue and Road 232 near the Friant Kern canal near Lindsay, according to deputies.

Authorities say members of the dive team are currently searching the channel for the missing person.
