The police spokesman noted that the suspect was arrested on Saturday following a complaint from the deceased’s father, Alhaji Ambali Yinusa.

He said Yinusa reported to police at Owode-Egba Division headquarters that his son-in-law had a misunderstanding with the woman, which led to an argument between them.

The PPRO said, “He went on to explain that Sobola Olatunji took a knife and stabbed his wife in the back.

In response to the report, the Owode-Egba DPO, CSP Matthew Ediae, dispatched his detectives to the location where the suspect was immediately arrested and the victim was rushed to hospital for treatment.

“The body of the deceased was deposited in the morgue at Olabisi Onabanjo University for an autopsy.”
