According to police, two groups were involved in an argument at Ravine Water Park
– Around 3pm today the Paso Robles Police Department dispatch received a call about a fight involving dozens of people at a memorial service at The Ravine Waterpark. According to Paso Robles Police Commander Tod Rehner, the two groups were engaged in a verbal argument over child custody.
When officers arrived there were no involved parties physically fighting. One person involved complained that her arm was trapped in a gate, causing injuries, police say. All those involved were offered medical attention as a precaution.
Shortly after responding to the water park, police went to a home on Appaloosa Drive where the child was reportedly taken after the incident.
Police say no arrests have been made and none are expected at this time. The custody issue was referred to San Luis Obispo County Child Protective Services.
The memorial service was held for Delaney Faith Dolly Trujillo, a Paso Robles woman who died March 8.
