One-year-old Jaclyn ‘Angel’ Dobbs goes lacking after her mom is discovered lifeless in Wheeling Residence – CBS Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) – Police in the northern suburb of Wheeling are looking for a one-year-old girl who is missing after her mother was found dead in her home Tuesday night.

Wheeling police said officers received a missing person report for 21-year-old Ja’nya Murphy at around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday after she had not shown up for work or contacted her family since Monday.

When officers conducted a health check at Murphy’s home, they found the door unlocked and Murphy dead inside. Their one-year-old daughter Jaclyn “Angel” Dobbs was missing, the police said.

“The Wheeling Police are actively working with the Northwest Suburban Major Crimes Assistance Team to ensure Angel’s safe return and to identify and arrest those responsible. At this point, we are asking the public for help in finding Angel, ”police said in a statement.
