A 39-year-old man who went missing from a group home in Quakertown last week remains the subject of a full-scale search by law enforcement.
Police say Adam Smith left the residential group on Broad Street in the Quakertown Borough shortly after 2:30 p.m. on August 11.
Smith is suffering from traumatic brain injury, police said, and was last seen wearing a green or black button-down shirt and green or tan shorts.
He is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighs 160 pounds, with long brown hair and a full beard.
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers publicized Smith’s disappearance on Wednesday and shared several recent photos of him, including security images taken on the day of his disappearance.
Anyone with information about Smith and his whereabouts is asked to please contact Det. Matthew Molchan of the Quakertown Police Department at (215) 536-5002. Tipsters can also contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online. All callers to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward for providing information leading to an arrest, solving a crime, or locating a wanted or missing person.
Earlier this week, Hellertown Police Chief Robert Shupp announced the county’s participation in Project Lifesaver. a program that distributes tracking bracelets to families who need them, including families of people with traumatic brain injuries.
