Police searching the water off Salford Quays for a missing person have found a body in the water
In a statement released last night, they said:
We have unfortunately found a body in the water at Salford Quays after receiving reports tonight of a person in the water getting into trouble.

Although no formal identification has yet taken place, we believe this is the person the emergency services were looking for.
Your family has been kept informed by our officials and will be supported during this extremely trying time.
Greater Manchester Police said a specialist search team was deployed after a person reportedly got into trouble in the water.
