Police replace on experiences of “younger teenage girl” being “slept tough” in Queensferry

To update: Police released an update today confirming the person was an adult.

An update from the North Flintshire Police said: “Following reports of a child sleeping homeless in the Queensferry area, we can now confirm that the person is an adult we have spoken to and who is helping to ensure the right support. “

Previous report: North Wales Police have asked the public for help in locating a “young teenage woman” who is said to be “sleeping rough” in the Queensferry area.

Officials responded to concerns raised on social media about the teen and searched the Queensferry area on Tuesday to ensure she was “safe and well”.

In a post on the North Wales Police Department’s Facebook page, a spokesman said: “NWP has been made aware of a concern on social media about a young teenage girl in the Queensferry area who is believed to be sleeping uneasily.”

“Officials were in the area tonight [Tuesday] but didn’t find it. “

“We have not received any reports of a missing person, but we are very keen to find them so we can make sure they are safe.”
