Just days after Porsha Stewart received news that her husband Kordell Stewart had filed for divorce, the reality star has filed an official divorce response.
In court documents filed in Georgia, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star requested alimony and additional compensation. Porsha has also asked to stay in the home she and Kordell shared with his son Syre.
The document goes on to say that Porsha hasn't worked in two years and that she sold her business to focus on caring for Syre, which “significantly” affected her earning potential.
The former NFL quarterback filed papers last week claiming the couple is now separated and their marriage has “irretrievably broken.” In a statement released shortly after the news broke, Porsha seemed surprised by the news.
“Ms. “Stewart is disappointed by her husband's recent divorce filing,” said a statement released on her behalf on Monday. “Ms. Stewart had held back from filing for divorce herself, holding on to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the file in the media.”
