A search is underway in East Portland for a missing woman. The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit is asking the public to keep an eye out for her.
On Friday, August 26, 2022, East Precinct officers were dispatched to a missing person report at the 7500 block of Southeast Lambert Street. They were told that Yueliu Tan, 68, went in her cart to get cans and did not return home. Yueliu was last seen at 5:45am leaving her home on foot.
Yueliu is an Asian female, 4ft 6, 145lbs, with short black and gray hair (photo). Yueliu was last seen in a yellow shirt with several other colors and patterns (photo), black pants and a red Nike cap. Yueliu has no diagnosed health issues but is only familiar with her neighborhood. Yueliu walks around her neighborhood several times a week. Yueliu doesn’t have a phone or money and doesn’t use TriMet. Yuelius family says she only speaks Chinese.
Officials have searched for Yueliu without success. If anyone sees Yueliu, please call 911. If anyone has additional information about this case, email the Missing Persons Unit at missing@portlandoregon.gov.
