Public is asked for help in the search for a missing person 9.9.24

Charlotte, NC – (Monday, September 9, 2024) – Detectives from the missing persons unit of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department are asking the public for help in identifying an unaccompanied two- to three-year-old child and in the search for family members.

The unaccompanied child was found by a citizen around 1:00 a.m. today in the 7900 block of Mallard Creek at the intersection with Baucom Road. The child was found walking along Mallard Creek Road wearing short-sleeved pajamas with green leaves and an orange tiger print.

Detectives are asking anyone associated with or familiar with this child, or anyone with information regarding the identity of the child or his or her family, to call 9-1-1 immediately.
