PUNE: Pune Court on Alimony Payments | A court has rejected the alimony application of a woman who was separated from her second husband after divorcing her first husband. However, the woman’s second husband was ordered to pay ₹15,000 a month to raise the child.

The orders were placed by JMFC SV Nimse. The petitioner filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, parents-in-law and sister-in-law in the Pune Court in 2021. In the application, she had requested maintenance payments for the maintenance of herself and her son.

The plaintiff and her husband live separately. However, neither the woman nor her husband have filed for divorce. The woman has since filed an application for child support. However, her husband’s lawyer pointed out that the woman earned the same salary as her husband and received ₹25 lakh after the divorce from her first husband. Despite this, she still demands maintenance. The husband has no problem paying money for the upbringing of the son.

After hearing the arguments of the husband’s lawyer, the JMFC SV Nimse checked all the information. He later turned down the woman’s request for child support. However, he ordered that she be paid ₹15,000 a month for the maintenance of her son.
