Raghubir Yadav’s estranged wife, Purnima Kharge, has claimed the actor did not pay her any alimony. The couple has been separated since 1995. The Lagaan actor has not yet responded to the new allegations.

Raghubir Yadav’s wife, Purnima, told a leading newspaper, “There was a point last year when I was unpaid for 5 months. That delay, in turn, has cost me my home on Yari Road, humiliation. After that I live on credit. I also had to pawn my gold. Also this year I stayed unpaid for 4 months. I was given two months before the court date ₹80,000, that was for 2 months. “

On the other hand, Raghubir Yadav’s lawyer, Shalini Devi, told the daily that Purnima had asked for an “exorbitant amount”, which is why the maintenance case would drag on after all these years. “Raghubir is 71 and Purnima should understand more,” added the lawyer.

Purnima filed for divorce in Mumbai last year – after 15 years of separation. She also accused him of adultery and desertion. She is a former Kathak dancer and also has a 30-year-old son, Raghuvir.

Purnima and Raghuvir married in 1988 and have been separated since 1995. In her divorce petition, she claimed she had given up her career as an international Kathak dancer to join the actor as he battled for a better position in the film industry. She added that he “left her for other women after becoming a successful actor,” a Mumbai Mirror report said last year.
