Regional alert following the disappearance of a senior in Riverside County

An 86-year-old East Hemet man went missing Wednesday after leaving his home, prompting authorities to launch a nationwide search for him.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Horace Marshall was last seen leaving his family's residence in the area of ​​Crest Drive and Yale Street around 9:30 a.m.

The agency issued a “Silver Alert” after receiving the missing person notification from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Silver Alerts focuses on finding missing seniors across the state.

Authorities weren't sure where Marshall might have gone. He left no word with his loved ones.

The missing man is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 200 pounds, with thinning gray hair and hazel eyes. According to the CHP, he was wearing an unknown color shirt and blue jeans.

Marshall was believed to be driving a 1999 Ford Super Duty pickup truck with California license plate 5-Y-0-1-7-3-5.
