The divorce process for Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena continues after the two officially swapped the terms of their separation, with a primary focus on custody of their children.

According to TMZ, new legal documents that Samuels filed this week show that he is not being pressured into possession of their property for seeking joint custody instead. It would enable him to make parenting decisions for their one-year-old daughter Safire and their second baby, due in a few weeks. When it comes to visiting rights, he wants uninterrupted and consistent access to keep in touch with his children.

Additionally, the love & hip-hop star wants a clear break with Mena on property and assets. He is open to granting his estranged wife full access to their shared apartment as long as she releases him from any liability for the property. She would have to refinance the mortgage and give him his share of the property.

It also requires that they keep their own vehicles and personal property acquired during their marriage. In addition, Safaree has challenged Erica’s child support claim but is urging the court to find a fair child support scheme.

Last month, Erica Mena filed for divorce papers in Fayette County Superior Court in Georgia sought custody of their children. She said she was willing to share joint custody with Safaree while applying for child support, but wants exclusive access to their shared home.
