NEW DELHI: Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, one of South India’s most revered couples, quit on October 2nd. Although the duo released an official joint statement and shared the update with their fans asking for their privacy, there was multiple speculation online that led to their split.

On Tuesday, Samantha, who is known not to take offensive comments against her, recently hit back at a person who made a nasty comment about her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. The social media user suggested she was “robbing” crores of child support payments. “@Samanthaprabhu2 is a divorced ruined thrift item that had 50 crores of tax free money stolen by a gentleman!” the user wrote. In response, Samantha wrote, “God bless your soul.”

In October, Samantha and Chaitanya announced their split in a joint statement, saying they “decided to go their separate ways as husband and wife to go[their]separate ways.” Days later, she lashed out at troll attacks on her character and dismissed false rumors about their affairs and abortions.

Samantha said she felt like “breaking down and dying.” But once she realized that she will live her life with all the problems, she appreciates herself for being such a strong woman. “I never thought I would be able to do this. I’m proud of myself because I never knew I was that strong,” said the ‘Shakunthalam’ actress.

Samantha also mentioned that her divorce from Chaitanya affected her mental health. But she tried to get better. Samantha, on the work front, has been busy signing new ventures and will soon be working on two multilingual projects, one of which is titled “Yashodha”. Samantha promises that she will only silence her critics with her hard work, nothing else.
