Shaquille O’Neal, who pays $50,000 a month in alimony, saved over $100 million by reaching a private settlement with ex-wife Shaunie Henderson
Shaquille O’Neal is known for his amazing personality and caring nature. The legend always treats people with the utmost respect, as if they were his own. Shaq entered the league in 1992 and played a few seasons for the Orlando Magic. Four years later, the Hall of Famer signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. This was the turning point in his career as he met Kobe Bryant and also his future wife.
After moving to LA, Shaq met Shaunie Henderson and dated for a few years before getting married. In 2002, Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie made it official by tying the knot. Shaunie admitted she once crashed Shaq’s car when she found out. O’Neal still pays child support for each of the five children he had with Shaunie. He pays an estimated $10,000 for each child.
Shaquille O’Neal regrets cheating on his ex-wife
Shaquille O’Neal has shown much remorse for the scam. There have been several instances where he has spoken out about his messy marriage. According to Yahoo, Shaq said, “You don’t know how good you have something until it’s gone. I mentioned that I have a 76,000 square foot house and nobody in it. It was all my fault. didn’t do the right thing and I definitely paid for it.”
Shaq also apparently praised Shaunie for the dedication she has shown to her marriage. “Sometimes when you lead this double life, you get caught up. I won’t say it was her. She did exactly what she was supposed to do and gave me beautiful children, looked after the household, looked after the company’s business,” he said. In conclusion, he took full responsibility for the fate he and his family had suffered.
Even during an episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq openly expressed how he regrets making the choices he made back then. Shaq had five children with Shaunie, Myles, Shareef, Shaqir, Amirah and Me’arah. He still maintains and maintains a great relationship with his child. Shareef and Shaqir follow in his footsteps. Shareef is also currently playing in the NBA G League. Shaquille O’Neal has really turned things around since his ugly divorce. The $400 million net worth athlete was asked to give Shaunie a huge sum, but of an unknown nature agreed. Ultimately, he saves him half his money.
