The Shasta County woman who falsified her kidnap will be back to court on Friday.

Redding, California – – – The Shasta County woman who falsified her kidnap will be back to court on Friday. The hearing is part of Sherri Papini's custody with her ex-husband.

In 2016, Sherri Papini disappeared into jogging from Redding. She reappeared with injuries 22 days later. She claimed that she had been kidnapped, but later she admitted that she had made it.

Papini was sentenced to 18 months in the federal prison in 2022 and released from custody early in 2023. In interviews last year, her ex-husband Keith Papini said that he had custody for her two children. The Papinis will be in court in Redding on Friday at 8:30 a.m.
