SKIP TRACE
The only relief in the over-the-top escapade are the sporadic action scenes and picturesque locations.

Despite being slightly slower and noticeably less agile, 62-year-old martial arts superstar Jackie Chan still does most of his own stunts and silly acrobatics. Unfortunately, his latest buddy action comedy is pretty boring.
Under the lackluster direction of Renny Harlin, who once made prestige films like “Die Hard 2” and “Cliffhanger,” Skiptrace casts Chan as an ineffective Hong Kong police officer.
The poorly constructed script pairs Chan with an Occidental sidekick, played by Knoxville. The resulting antics are as cliche as the plot.
The poorly constructed script, clearly designed to capitalize on Chan's late-career hits like “Rush Hour” and “Shanghai Knights,” pairs him with another Occidental pal (Knoxville).
The unlikely duo are on the trail of a ruthless – and truly cliched – crime boss who is also responsible for the death of Chan's former partner.
The over-the-top excursion is further enhanced by some scenic spots in Macau, Mongolia and the Gobi Desert. Some of the fight scenes are well choreographed, particularly Chan's confrontation with a Russian henchwoman where his only weapon is… a doll.
There is surprisingly little chemistry between the main couple.
But the obligatory end credits outtakes and bloopers lack humor, character development is virtually ignored, and there's surprisingly little chemistry even between the main actors.
If you decide to visit Skiptrace, don't expect to find much entertainment.
