Speaker of the House of Representatives petitions IGP as police arrest former lawmaker’s infidelity allegations – The Sun Nigeria

Police have arrested a former lawmaker, Hon Robinson Uwak, following a petition by House Speaker Hon Ben Kalu to the Inspector General of Police.
According to Kalu, the petition followed allegations of infidelity to his (Uwak’s) wife that the former lawmakers had leveled against him.
Kalu, who represents the federal constituency of Bende, said with the allegation and subsequent publications in some media at the instigation of Uwak that his character was defamed and demanded an apology from the former MP.
Hon Kalu made the announcement in Umuahia and said Uwak was arrested after he refused to accept a number of invitations made to him by the police.
Uwak, who was a member of the 7th session of the House of Representatives, said Kalu had damaged his character by publishing untruths and accusing him of infidelity in all major media houses in Nigeria, including electronic media, Facebook, Twitter and various blogs (Uwaks ) Woman.
Hon Kalu said upon arrest that Uwak is expected to prove his allegations against him if the case goes to court.
