Terrifying second by which man shoots lifeless associate’s ex within the custody row, however police don’t convey expenses of “justified homicide”

This is when a man shoots and kills his partner’s ex-husband during a custody battle before claiming it was “justified murder”.

William “Kyle” Carruth and Chad Read got into an aggressive child custody confrontation outside of Mr. Carruth’s home in Lubbock, Texas, just before Mr. Read was shot.

Two videos of the fatal shooting have been released, one from my Mr Read’s widow and one from Mr Carruth’s lawyers.

The videos can be seen Mr Read arguing with his ex-wife over child custody when Mr Carruth tells him to go, go back inside and come back with a gun.

The men go head-to-head when Mr. Read yells at Mr. Carruth, “Use it, motherf *** er, because damn it, I’ll take it from you and the fuck I’ll use it on you”.

Mr. Carruth steps back and fires a warning shot into the ground at Mr. Read’s feet.

Mr. Read grabs the gun and brandishes Mr. Carruth, who steps back from the porch and fires two shots, which appears to kill him instantly.

Jennifer Read can be heard saying “Call 911” as Mr. Carruth defends the shooting: “I told you, I told you all to go.”

Mr Carruth’s lawyers claim self-defense, saying Mr Read’s murder was a “justified murder”.

David M. Guinn, one of Mr. Carruth’s attorneys, said: “All Texans are legally permitted to carry a firearm to protect themselves, their property and their business.

“When Kyle did that, Chad Read walked up to him and immediately tried to take the gun away from Kyle.

“He was strong enough to knock Kyle 180 degrees onto Kyle’s terrace.

“He lifted his left leg and continued his advance on Kyle, threatening him and posing an imminent threat. Kyle answered.

“This is a justified murder.”

“JUSTICE SELF-DEFENSE”

Police have not charged Mr Carruth with the November 5th shooting, local media reported.

The attorney praised the handling of the case by the Lubbock Police Department.

“LPD knew they lacked probable reasons and did not arrest him. Kyle worked with law enforcement.

“We hope that a grand jury in Lubbock will do a thorough investigation of all the facts and clear Mr. Carruth.”

He added that “Everyone regrets the whole situation.

“Although Read came unarmed, he announced his intention to kill Kyle Carruth with Kyle’s own weapon and immediately took powerful measures to do so.”

Mr Read’s widow, Jennifer, sought custody of his children from her mother, Christina Read.

A number of states in the United States have lock laws that allow homeowners to take reasonable steps to defend themselves and their homes.

Attorney James Luster describes the lock doctrine as “the idea that a man’s home is his lock.”

“The Texas Castle Doctrine assumes that the use of force is sensible and justified when another person is unlawfully and forcefully entering your home, vehicle, or place of work, or attempting to forcefully enter or remove you.

Mr. Luster also added that Texas has “some of the strongest self-defense and property laws in the country”.
