Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thursday attached GPS tracking devices to terrorists in custody who were released on bail in cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, a police statement said.
“The accused were arrested in case FIR No. 34/2018 under Section 38, 39 UA(P) of the Act from Police Station Dooru and released on bail by the honourable court,” police said.
Police said the GPS bracelet was used to monitor the movements of the terrorists in question and to ensure that they do not violate bail conditions.
