A 64-year-old man, Osita Anwuanwu, reportedly slumped and died while fighting with his lover on suspicion of infidelity.

Anwuanwu had gone to his friend Juliet Eguebor’s bar, which belonged to Ngozi Emezue, Julia’s friend in the Ikotun area of ​​Lagos, and had collapsed after a misunderstanding with the two women.

Lagos State Police spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi said police immediately rescued the man who was later found dead at Igando General Hospital.

Adejobi said in a statement: “On April 8, 2021 at 8.45 pm, employees of the Lagos State Police Command arrested two suspects for the alleged murder of Osita Anwuanwu, m, 64, in the Arida area of ​​Ikotun Lagos state.

“The deceased’s daughter, Linda Anwuanwu, of Temitope Street, on Governor’s Road in Ikotun, Lagos State, reported to the Ikotun Division police that she had been told that her father, an Osita Anwuanwu, 64, of the same address, was in There was a bar down the street in Arida after he had a misunderstanding with a Ngozi Emezue, 38, and Juliet Eguebor, 35. Police officers from Ikotun Division ran to the scene and rescued the deceased to Igando General Hospital, where he was certified dead.

Following a preliminary police investigation, the deceased had gone to examine his girlfriend Juliet, whom he had not seen in a while, at Ngozi’s bar, where he embroiled the duo in a heated argument and physical assault before collapsing .

“The two (2) suspects were taken to the Panti State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba for a proper investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Osita Anwuanwu’s death.”
