E-bikes are all the rage, especially for those who live in cities where commuting is a bit more difficult. As we saw earlier this year, even Acer is getting in on the act, but that might not be much competition for Cowboy, a boutique bike builder from Belgium that’s now launching a more comfortable version of its previous e-bikes.
The new Cowboy Cruiser has a more upright design compared to previous Cowboy models and offers impressive features and comfort for $3,490 this summer. Namely, the company’s new AdaptivePower technology allows drivers to “have a constant level of power to maintain top speed or get an extra boost”. Therefore, on hills or other difficult terrain, the technology can help take up the sag so your riding experience is not compromised.
Of course, this is also a smart e-bike, so you can pair your phone with it via the Cowboy app. This automatically unlocks your bike when you approach the bike, lets you use the built-in Google Maps, track your fitness journey, and more. Owners can also track their bikes with sensors and GPS built into the bike, so you never really have to worry about bike theft. We also note that the bike has a removable battery that can be charged in 2 hours and 40 minutes for a 25-50 mile ride, depending on the conditions.
All the tech aside, this is just a beautiful looking bike. It has a more contemporary finish that isn’t too much so it still looks like a pretty standard bike. It features a headlight and taillight, and a widened seat and handlebars for more comfort compared to other Cowboy bikes. It weighs 41.7 pounds with all features and accessories included and is optimized for riders 5′-6′ tall, which is more of an average height range.
While that price might be a bit high for some, it’s not too absurd once you get into the world of e-bikes. Furthermore, it seems that along with all the features and capabilities of this bike, you will surely have a top-notch experience with the Cowboy Cruiser. However, it should be noted that cowboy e-bike prices are about to increase. So if you are interested in something like this, now is the right time.
