The Information Journal Deserted Car Report Results in the Discovery of a Lacking Individual – The Information Journal
Thanks in part to the efforts of the Whitley County Sheriff’s Assistant, an injured missing person was recently found safely.
On August 17, Deputy Caleb Hester responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle off Highway 90 that had been parked along an old gravel road for two days.
Upon arriving at the scene, Hester noticed many personal belongings in the vehicle and went to the address given for the owner of the vehicle, according to a notice from the sheriff.
Hester spoke to the vehicle owner’s mother, who told him that she had not had any contact with her son for two days.
Hester then contacted Whitley County’s Emergency Management Director Danny Moses and Woodbine Search and Rescue.
“Together they all started looking for the masculine theme. After a few hours of searching, the male subject was safely found but sustained multiple injuries. The person was transported to Baptist Health Corbin by Whitley County EMS, ”the statement said.
“Sheriff Shelley would like to commend Deputy Caleb Hester for his exceptional work and hard work. We appreciate the continuous teamwork and support from the emergency management director Danny Moses and the Woodbine fire department. Together we achieve more and more. Please keep the masculine theme in your prayers! “
