The jeweler’s son murders the associate dwelling within the family on suspicion of infidelity

A jeweler’s son suspected her partner of having a relationship with another man and strangled her to death in south-east Delhi. The deceased is identified as Gulshana (22), was married and the mother of one child but had been separated from her husband for a year.

One case was registered at Sarita Vihar police station and the defendant Rahul, 30, was snatched from Aali Jungle on Wednesday. Further investigations into the matter are being launched.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Southeast Delhi) Esha Pandey said that on November 11, information from Madanpur Khadar was received at Sarita Vihar Police Station. The caller informed them that a woman was lying unconscious in his tenant’s room.

A police team immediately reached the spot and found the room locked. Police forces opened the door and took the woman to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

During the preliminary examination, no externally visible injuries were found on the corpse. The caller, Param Bidhuri, stated that he was the owner of the house and that a Rahul had been renting the room for 20 days.

He further said that on November 11 he received a call from Rahul asking him to visit his room as he was outside and saying that his girlfriend had passed out due to an epileptic seizure and needed help. At that point he made a PCR call and informed the police.

It was said that Rahul’s family also lived in Madanpur Khadar. During the investigation, Rahul’s brother, Parveen, stated that the woman, Gulshana, mother of a 1-year-old daughter, was related to Rahul.

An initial procedure to determine the cause of death was initiated and an autopsy (PM) was performed. The PM report suggested the cause of death was strangulation.

Accordingly, a murder case was registered in the Sarita Vihar and investigations were initiated.

During the course of the investigation, police began searching for suspect Rahul and finally he was arrested on November 16 in the Aali Jungle area of ​​Delhi.

During interrogation, the accused Rahul admitted that he had an extramarital affair with the deceased, who occasionally visited his room with her child. He had doubts that she was having an affair with another person residing in Madanpur Khadar area.

According to the accused Rahul he had a fight with Gulshana the day before for Rs. 5000. During the scuffle he strangled her with her chunni and left her dead.

After killing the lady, the accused Rahul fled the scene with the deceased’s daughter. Later the girl was handed over to the mother of the deceased.

Further investigations into the matter are ongoing.
