RadarOnline.com confirms that a New Jersey judge has denied Kevin Hunter’s claims. The former executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show has filed a request for child support to be resumed for his ex-wife Wendy Williams.
decisions of the judge
The judge found Hunter’s claims “non-existent” and ordered the latest application “dismissed with prejudice.” Therefore, Wendy is under no obligation to resume child support payments. The judge also denied Hunter’s request for payment of Hunter’s legal fees for the former Wendy Williams Show host.
These decisions may not be the end of Hunter’s requests. According to court documents obtained by the Sun, the judge proposed that the case be submitted to arbitration.
The judge said:
“The parties shall participate in binding arbitration. Questions about severance payments and [Qualified Domestic Relations Order] are controversial and must therefore be mediated.”
Kevin Hunter’s claims
After allegedly stopping child support payments in February 2022, Hunter filed a request to resume payments in November 2022. He asked the court to order Wendy’s financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, to “make any payments contractually required under the MSA and Severance Agreement.”
Hunter says he’s broke and can’t pay his bills. In his question at the time, he claimed:
“I’ve defaulted on most of my bills. I currently live in a community that requires payments to the Homeowners Association and I am in arrears on this bill. If the Homeowners Association dues are not paid, foreclosure soon follows. My car insurance is in default because I haven’t received monthly severance pay, I’m behind on credit card payments because I’ve run out of money since severance was suspended.”
Hunter added:
“My life has been severely impacted since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement. The fact that I am unable to sustain my life and pay my bills properly is extremely striking to me. I can’t pay my bills and I can’t face my day. live today.”
Why Wendy isn’t paying her ex-husband anymore
There’s a legitimate reason Wendy stopped paying Kevin alimony. Wendy’s attorney stated that Kevin “understood and agreed” that if Wendy’s contract “is not renewed and/or otherwise suspended, terminated or terminated, all severance payments will be either terminated or amended.” Her contract was terminated, meaning there would be no severance pay for Hunter.
