The Lagos State Police Command has found a 32-year-old man, Odera Mbadiwe, who was previously reported as missing and whose case became viral on social media.
The deputy spokesman for the command, deputy superintendent of the police, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, confirmed this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
He told the police that Mbadiwe had left his apartment on Monday on Victoria Island with his father's vehicle, a Nissan 350Z convertible, and did not return home.
Oluseyi said: “This prompted his family to report him to the Victoria Island police department as missing on September 3.
“A discrete and hard -working examination, which was immediately organized by the police (CP) Olohundare Jimoh in the disappearance of the missing person.”

The spokesman said that the vehicle was also recovered during the examination.
According to him, Mbadiwe was reunited with his family and receives medical help and adequate care.

He said: “The Commissioner praises the quick efforts of the police officers and the public cooperation, whose useful information led to the discovery of the missing person.
“CP Jimoh assures the residents that command is still obliged to ensure the security of everyone.
“Jimoh continues to ask the public to report similar cases for immediate police measures.”
