The police will renew information request for three cases of missing person: Big Island now

Police detectives in Hawai'i Island renew their application for information on three separate investigations for missing persons in recent years in the Puna district.

  • Jarryd Lee Kalanihuli Ah Quin39, was reported as missing in early October 2019 and has not been seen or heard since then. It was known that he visited Hilo and Puna.
  • Joseph David Smithey56, was reported missing at the end of June 2021; Since the end of May 2021, however, his residence in Lehua Street in Mountain View has no longer been observed.
  • Jennifer Michelle Show43, was reported as missing in early July 2022 and has not been seen or heard since then. She was last seen in her residence in the Ina Street in the Hawaiian beaches in Pāhoa.

In the course of these investigations, detectives with the section “Area I” carried out countless interviews, completed the forensic analysis of cell phone and financial documents and pursued numerous tips from the public.

Although not confirmed, the police can suspect a bad game in any of these cases.
