The reward was elevated to $ 20,000 in a decade-old lacking individual case

Maine State Police say the reward for information about a missing person case increased more than two decades ago.

Police believe that Angel Torres’ disappearance on the night of May 21, 1999 was the result of a foul and have been following leads ever since. He was last seen that night on South Street in Biddeford.

Thanks to a donation from a local business owner, the reward reached $ 20,000.

Police say a key witness he was the night he went missing died of a drug overdose in 2015 before he could tell investigators the full story of what happened.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Maine State Police.
