The Roseville store is in the middle of a chaotic shootout between families upset over the custody hearing

ROSEVILLE, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – A Roseville store remains closed for at least a week after a car involved in a shooting crashed into its building.

Repair work was carried out at Grady’s Sports and More on Thursday to repair the extensive damage.

Kelly Alexander, the manager, says she’s grateful no one was hurt.

“You could have killed a child. They could have killed an innocent passerby,” she said.

The company was in the middle of a custody battle that turned violent on Tuesday.

Eastpoint Police say the child’s mother was upset at the outcome of a hearing in the 16th Circuit Court.

According to police, she and another person followed the child’s father to Eastpointe, where they both began shooting at each other at Gratiot, near Bell.

Grady’s surveillance video shows the moment one of the cars involved crashed into their building.

According to the police, it was probably the father of the child who was the victim of the shooting.

The investigator working on the case said two people were being held in custody and charges would be brought, but declined to give further details.

Alexander says she’s fed up with the violence.

“The loss of business at the hands of careless, reckless people — it’s sad and will hurt,” Alexander said.

Cluster missiles also damaged a nearby car dealership.
